How it works
Tell us your opening date
Send your target date, your unit or service area and what you sell. We work backwards from that date, not forwards from today.
Get a dated launch sheet
You receive a short written plan: what goes live in which week, what it costs on a Trades.Agency plan, and which numbers we will watch.
Start the countdown
We build the profile, site and ads in the order the plan sets out and report every week through opening. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.
A launch is the one time in a business's life when every week of delay costs twice: rent is already running, and the people who would have found you in week one have already picked someone else. Burquitlam.Business exists for that window. We plan and run the marketing side of opening, moving or adding a location in the Burquitlam–Lougheed area, starting well before the doors open.
Why a launch here needs its own plan
A new storefront in Burquitlam is invisible online until someone makes it visible. The neighbourhood is growing faster than Coquitlam as a whole, and much of the new space sits at the base of towers that map services may not fully understand yet.
The growth is measurable. Burquitlam's population rose from 22,775 in 2016 to 25,637 in 2021, about 12.6%, according to the census tables summarised on Wikipedia's Burquitlam page. Over the same five years the City of Coquitlam reached 148,625 people, a rise of roughly 6.7%. In plain terms, the area around the stations was adding residents at close to twice the city's pace.
That creates a specific problem for a new business. Your future customers are new too. They have no habits yet, no favourite café, no plumber on speed dial. They search, and they choose from what the map shows them in the first weeks after they move in. If you open without a verified profile, a working site and a few reviews, you hand that moment to whoever was already there.
What we do, in the order it happens
Our work follows the calendar of a launch rather than a menu of services. Each piece has a page of its own:
- Pre-opening launch plan. A dated sheet that runs from about day minus 120 to day plus 90, with owners and costs on every line.
- New-location Google Business Profile. The right name, suite number, pin and categories, and a verification route that suits a building still being finished.
- Launch-ready website. A small, fast site that is live and indexed weeks before opening day.
- Opening-season search ads. Paid search fenced around the streets you can actually serve, with a ceiling set from your margins.
- Relocation and second-location marketing. For owners moving in from elsewhere, so reviews and rankings follow you instead of staying at the old address.
If you are not sure where to start, the services overview explains how to choose.
A worked example you can check
Here is the arithmetic we run with every owner before we suggest a budget. Change the numbers to yours.
- A new home-service business near Lougheed expects an average job worth $600, with about 40% left after labour and materials. That's $240 of gross profit per job.
- If one in four enquiries becomes a job, each enquiry is worth about $60 in gross profit.
- On a $1,999 monthly plan, the business needs roughly 34 extra enquiries a month to cover the fee from first jobs alone. Repeat work and referrals are on top of that.
If those numbers don't work for your business, we will say so in the first conversation. Sometimes the right answer is a smaller first step, such as fixing the profile and site yourself with our checklist.
Proof, stated carefully
Every number we quote comes from real results from our HVAC work, because that's where our track record is. Two are especially relevant to a launch. GasBoilers.ca is a gas-boiler division built from scratch for CANRO Heat that now serves 26+ BC communities. BCWide.ca reached 3× leads in 90 days. Neither is a storefront or a non-HVAC trade, so treat them as evidence of the method, not a forecast for your shop. The results page explains what transfers and what doesn't.
Who we are, and what we are not
Burquitlam.Business is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. It's a Canadian business, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, who has 17+ years in digital marketing and has built 150+ live HVAC websites. You can read more on the about page.
We are a marketing and business consulting service. We are not a contractor: we don't build out units, wire signs, install anything or service equipment. When your launch needs a sign maker or a fit-out crew, you hire them; we make sure people can find you once they're done.
Next step
Send us your target opening date and your unit or service area. We will reply with a first view of what is realistic between now and then. Plan prices sit on the pricing page; the FAQ covers contracts, ownership and timing. When you are ready, contact us by call, text or email.
Frequently asked questions
What does Burquitlam.Business actually do?
We plan and carry out the marketing for a business launch in the Burquitlam–Lougheed area: Google Business Profile, a launch website, opening-season ads and the move of an existing reputation to a new address. We are not a contractor and do not build fit-outs, hang signs or do any trade work.
How early should I contact you before opening?
Ideally 90 to 120 days before your target date. That leaves time to settle the name, build the site and line up verification. We can still help two or three weeks out, but the plan becomes a short triage list.
My building is so new that Google Maps doesn't show the address. Is that a problem?
It's common near the stations and it can be handled. We check how the address appears in maps, place the pin by hand where needed and enter the unit number the way Google's guidelines ask. Our guide on new-building addresses explains the steps.
What does it cost?
Work runs on Trades.Agency plans, from $1,999 a month month-to-month or $1,499 a month on annual billing, plus 5% GST for BC clients. The first consultation is free and there is no long-term contract.
Do you only work with trades?
No. Trades and home-service firms are a big part of the area, but we also help shops, studios, tutoring centres, clinics and food businesses that are opening near Lougheed and Burquitlam. Regulated professions handle their own licensing and advertising rules.
Do you promise a number of customers by opening day?
No one honest can. We promise a dated plan, clean execution and weekly numbers you can check, and we point to real results from our HVAC work as proof of the method.
